In the mid-’70s, James Hundley participated in the negotiation and settlement of milestone cases brought by more than 50 workers and their families against Allied Chemical Corporation regarding the pesticide Kepone.
James was born in Danville, Virginia, and he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee, passing the Virginia Bar Exam and beginning practice in 1962.
The Hundley & Johnson founding partner is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals by the Fourth Circuit. James has specialized in personal injury cases for his entire career, which spans more than 40 years. He has successfully handled cases involving automobile negligence, premises liability, boating accidents and nursing home negligence cases.
Throughout his long career, the personal injury lawyer has held many prestigious positions, serving as a district governor of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and as a member of the Henrico County Bar Association. James has also had the honor of speaking at a variety of conferences. In his role as adjunct professor at J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College, the attorney taught trial procedure to paralegal students.
